Making Positive Change Simple
Together, we turn small acts of kindness into big community wins.
Agoge
In ancient times the Agoge was designed for Spartan boys to undergo intense physical trials, to prepare their bodies for the harshness of war. Before the word Agoge was adopted by the Spartans it was derived from the Greek word ἀγωγή, and had a broader meaning.
In Attic Greek it means “to lead” and Doric Greek “a training”
For our modern purpose the Agoge is our charity leading or guiding a child’s mind into a fantastical or whimsical world, where they can be free in their imagination while they are battling through the toughest moment of their lives. Dealing with a challenge no one would ever wish for.
